I wasn't sure about this at first. But I kept thinking about it and decided I wanted to share a dream I had with you. Make sure you read the whole thing before you decide it's lame. So here it goes...
I was at a park type place where there was a nice looking building, surrounded by a sidewalk, which was surrounded by grass. There was a good selection of people there. I was with a group of them when I felt I needed to walk the opposite direction of everyone. At some point when I was walking down the sidewalk, I turned my head to the right and looked down and in the corner, I saw a beautiful, dark baby in a stroller. I looked around for the baby's mother but didn't see one. When I looked back at the baby, the stroller started moving further away from me and closer to some steps. The baby fell down the steps and I went after it. When I picked it up, I saw a scratch mark on its forehead, and the poor baby started crying. When I went back to where the people were, I saw a young boy that looked like he could have been this baby's brother. I walked up to him and one of his friends and asked, "Do you know whose baby this is?" He took a glimpse of the baby, turned around, and pointed to a lady down the hill. My parents walked up behind me and we went down to talk to her. When we got to her, she was standing next to a man, who was in a wheelchair, that could either be her boyfriend or husband. I looked at her and asked, "Is this your baby?" She didn't look like she wanted to answer or look me straight in the eyes but when she finally did, she shook her head yes. She knew where I found her baby so she explained, "The baby's dad is out of the picture so the baby is out of the picture as well." I looked at her in amazement and got this anger rising inside of me. I explained to her where I found her baby and that it fell down the steps and got hurt. "If it wasn't for me, there is no telling what would have happened to this poor baby." Then I started getting angrier and yelled at this lady three times saying, "You're a horrible mother!!" The man next to this lady rubbed the top of the baby's head. After the man stopped, I started rubbing the baby's head too. When I looked at the baby's face, I started tearing up and I got this overwhelming joy for this child. I didn't care that it didn't look like me or I was too young to be caring for a baby, I just wanted to take this baby home with me.
I feel this story is how God feels about us as well. Even when we are abandoned and no one wants us, He still wants to wrap us up in His arms and love on us and take us home.
I will never be the same after this dream, it completely changed my life!
